Allenbridge's expert team of analysts is constantly engaged in monitoring the performance of thousands of Unit Trusts and OEICs in our investment universe. We issue each quarter a statistical and graphical report, and highlight, with a "Consider Transfer" recommendation, those funds with poor relative performance, based on one and three year assessments.
In those cases where we identify particularly disturbing patterns, relating to worse than expected relative short-term performance, we seek to establish if this is simply a short-term 'blip' or something more serious, which needs more investigation.
A fundamental problem may derive from many things: a change of manager, or a change of strategy of an existing manager, for example.
The team's conclusions, if negative for a particular fund, are summarised in a special "Red Alert" report, produced on a regular basis, and accessible on our website. The report also contains a switch recommendation into a fund believed to be more likely to produce good performance.
The report is mailed to all our clients with holdings in the relevant underperforming fund, and goes into specific statistical and qualitative detail (click here for an example) on both the "Sell" and "Buy" funds, with a clear performance comparison.
Red Alerts are an integral part of the FREE AllenbridgeCare service,
available to all our clients.
